Extra Span Wind Shielding

The Extra Span type wind shield is used as a permanent solution for protection of personnel and equipment from the harsh weather conditions experienced both onshore and offshore in the oil and gas industry.

The ES wind shield is typically made with a single layer construction, but can also be supplied with a double layer for additional protection. This shield type also provides excellent radiated heat protection for both personnel and equipment.

This configuration of windshield is ideal for installations requiring panels of differing sizes and/or complex shapes.

101 mph Wind Speed Testing

The single layer construction windshield can reduce the wind speed by up to 62% without affecting light transmission and ventilation. The dual layer configuration can further reduce the wind speed by up to 72%.

The Extra Span Shield has been successfully tested to wind speeds in excess of 100mph.
