About the Project

The issue

Heat permeating through the wall of the lime kiln was radiating onto the rear of the wall-mounted cable trays. This caused the trays to heat to a temperature which was damaging the insulation on the cables.

The Solution

Locker designed and fabricated the panels to fit between the cable trays and the kiln wall, using our mini shield product. These heat shields provided a sufficient reduction in temperature to prevent the cables getting damaged. We also have cable tray heat-shielding panels designed specifically for protecting cable trays against heat radiated from above.
